Tabbouleh salad is a very refreshing Lebanese salad that will be perfect as a light lunch or an addition to your dinner. A wonderful, fragrant salad that is full of vitamins! Its preparation is really fast!
The most important thing to remember about this salad is that the bulgur is only an addition here, not the main ingredient. Herbs play a major role here. We absolutely need at least one large bunch of parsley here. Mint and lemon refresh the whole thing, and chives give it a nice character.
You can also use couscous instead of bulgur, although bulgur gives this salad a nice flavor. It is also an interesting salad to serve at a party.

OLIVE OIL – we always use the extra virgin for salads, quality of olive oil is really important. You can really taste the differences in the quality of the olive oil in the salads.
CUCUMBER – traditional Lebanese salad doesn’t go with cucumber, but I have seen many tabbouleh recipes and cucumber does add a nice flavor to the salad. Fresh summer cucumbers are best because they have more flavor.
