Cauliflower Wings was one of my first discoveries when I stopped eating meat. It’s an absolute bomb and it’s not that it tastes like meat, it isn’t. But they are just as enjoyable as chicken wings, only they are much tastier. It is not a diet food, but this is not what we’re craving for today.
Let me present to you a recipe for standard breaded cauliflowers, but when it comes to the flavor sensations, I recommend you to coat them in your favorite sauce after frying. Buffalo, BBQ or sweet chilli. You can also dip your fried wings in your favorite dips, I recommend you some honey mustard, ranch or even a quick salsa.

CAULIFLOWER – in this recipe, I recommend you boiling the cauliflower before breading it and leaving it to cool. But if you don’t have much time, just cut the cauliflower into smaller florets and bread them without pre-boiling.

SIDES – cauliflowers are usually served with french fries, carrots, celery sticks and various dips. However if you want to eat fewer calories just prepare the salad and light dressing for the wings.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 cauliflower (about 700g)
- 100 g of wheat flour
- 2 tablespoons of tempura or cornstarch
- 250ml of plant-based milk
- breadcrumbs
- frying oil
- spices for breading:
- (1 teaspoon each): oregano, smoked pepper, dried onion, dried garlic, pepper, salt (4 teaspoons)

CAULIFLOWER WINGS – PREPARATION
- Start with boiling water in a large pot. In the meantime, cut the cauliflower into 5 cm florets.
- When the water is boiling, add a tablespoon of salt to it and add the cauliflower. Wait for the water to boil again and then drain the cauliflowers and leave them to cool on a strainer.
- Start with breading – use a tall container, mix the flour, tempura mix or corn flour, spices for breading and vegan milk, mix for about 5 minutes.
- Prepare a deep-fryer or a Teflon saucepan and heat the oil. First, coat the cauliflowers in dough and then roll them in breadcrumbs.
- Fry for a few minutes until the wings turn golden.

Serve with fries, salad, carrot and celery sticks and your favorite sauces.
